One of the drawbacks of tourism is the severe damage to the environment of a country or an area. Firstly, tourists use a lot of local resources like water, food, and energy, putting pressure on the environment. Secondly, overcrowding in cities due to tourism leads to traffic jams, air, and noise pollution. Furthermore, the destruction of wildlife habitats occurs with the development of resorts and visitor activities. In conclusion, laws are needed to prevent further environmental damage caused by tourism.
